Matric Honours Evening 2019
The Matric Honours Evening was held last week. Apart from the academic awards presented to the class of 2019, special awards and academic trophies were also awarded.
Lethabo Mashego received a Silver Certificate : Afrikaans FAL; Gold Certificate : English HL; Gold Certificate : Geography; Gold Certificate : Life Sciences; Gold Certificate : Physical Sciences and Academic Full Colours. She also received the Trophies for Geography, Life Sciences, English, Physical Science, Bilingualism, the Character Award and Dux: Academic
Sibusiso Mbonani received a Blue certificate : Music; Gold Certificate : Mathematics and Academic Half Colours. He received the Trophy for Mathematics and the Principal’s Award.

Special Awards
- The Trophy for Bilingualism was awarded to Lethabo Mashego.
- The Lincoln Trophy was awarded to Motheo Mofokeng for the learner who helped the prefects the most.
- The Van Niekerk Trophy was awarded to Tshepiso Motsoko for being the hardest working prefect during 2019. This was elected by the prefects.
- Dux Cultural award was shared by Busisiwe Mbonani & Mpho Moloi.
- Dux Sport was awarded to Thapelo Baartman.
- Dux Academic was awarded to Lethabo Mashego.
- The Adrian McAllister Trophy is awarded to the learner who is seen as a role model by his/her peers. Gontse Keetse received this award.
- The Service Award was awarded Brian Mulaudzi for his voluntary assistance with the sport teams throughout the year.
- The Allan van Heerden Award was given to Samuel Mmakola for being the best all rounder; in academic, cultural and sporting fields.
- Principal’s Award went to Sibusiso Mbonani and the Character Award to Lethabo Mashego.
